One day you play,

Another day your hands are in clay,

You dance on some other day

Or pull your siblings’ hair and run away.

You may watch Doraemon

You may love Pokemon.

You may laugh watching Shinchan

Or you may feel the gush of Perman

But none shall leave you

Before your soul leaves you.

You might have played with stuffed Tom and Jerry

You might have shouted as in Dragonball Z

But those moments you’d never forget

Because they are always in your locket.

The Red Ranger you always wanted to be,

The Beyblade you always wanted to use,

The Spinach, which strengthens ‘Popeye: The sailor man’

Or the laddu, which powers ‘Chotta Bheem’

Everything shall remain within you,

Till the very last puff of oxygen is within you.

You are never too old,

You are never too young,

For the characteristics of young and old,

Has been the things you lived with, for years.

In the deeper layers of your heart

You find a child in yourself

Sitting in a corner

And waiting for the time,
